The Microsoft Corporate Card Program Manager will champion the innovation, standardization, and delivery of Microsoft’s Corporate and Meeting Card processes. This includes all areas of the travel, B2B, and meeting payment process and policies. This individual will work with multiple stakeholder groups (e.g. internal Business Groups, CSEO, Controls and Compliance, Finance, CELA, Tax, Internal Audit) to ensure card processes are robust, compliant and consistent across Microsoft. Work with the MSProcurement management team to contribute to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies and practices. Formal process improvement methodologies will be utilized to design, manage and improve processes.

Responsibilities

  1. Efficiently manage and consistently improve the Corporate Card managed service operations, processes and policies in support MSProcurement mission.
  2. Manage Corporate Card provider and managed service operations including SLA, budgeting, support applications, escalations, implementation and supplier account management (MBR/QBR etc).
  3. Identify operational and process improvement opportunities and take the lead in implementing those improvements in collaboration across the Travel, Procurement, OneFinance and CSEO organizations. Utilize appropriate methodologies to drive consistency and best-practices across the program and organization.
  4. Work with business groups to understand ongoing business challenges, set priorities and execute on initiatives by leveraging card product tool/process infrastructure.
  5. Collaborate with the FinOps to ensure excellence in execution of Plan to Pay process (Travel, Meetings and B2B) along consistent alignment to procurement policies and requirements within the operations teams.
  6. Work closely with the Procurement and MSTravel to ensure alignment across programs and work to operationalize new program requirements across different teams and tools.
  7. Partner with MSTravel Service Delivery and MSTravel outsourced team to ensure standardization and ongoing improvement of processes and delivery of payment solutions.
  8. Drive process improvements projects that are sensitive to the interdependencies between MSTravel, MSProcurement, OneFinance and CSEO coupled with effective change management to ensure successful implementation. Take the lead as necessary in designing change management, training, and communication strategy and practice.
  9. Continuously use Business Intelligence through variety of reports and other sources for data driven decisions on improvement plans based on key opportunities.
  10. Develop and implement effective internal and external metrics and scorecards. Provide periodic process reports, analytics, and benchmarks to maximize process efficiency and support MSProcurement.
  11. Drive culture, values, and behavior consistent with a "world class" MSTravel team. Promote continuous improvement by demonstrating effective leadership, influence, and advocacy.

Qualifications

Ideal Candidate shall demonstrate the following:
  • Provide thought leadership and collaboration improving the end user experience with compliant-by-design solutions and strategies for new programs, projects, products and processes.
  • Deep understanding of the Fintech landscape and payment products to understand and implement new payment experiences.
  • Actively seeks to build relationships, which enables proactive, early interventions and support across teams
  • Independently identifies and completes tasks related to programs of high risk and complexity
  • Solves complex problems by applying knowledge and judgment to identify approach and methods. Needs only general instruction for new projects.
  • Must have very strong leadership qualities and excellent communication skills
  • Uses functional expertise to assess, recommend and deliver process improvements in a matrixed organization
  • Works both tactically and strategically with cross-group collaboration for a higher level of stakeholder

  • B.S. in Engineering or Business Management, MBA a strong advantage.
  • 5-10 years experience in a large corporate finance environment.
  • Strong combination of business and Procurement knowledge base.
  • Strong relationship skills; Ability to establish 'trusted advisor' status with key internal and external stakeholders and partners.
  • High energy and enthusiasm for continuous process improvements.
  • Ability to demonstrate clear contribution in terms of reducing/managing business costs. Create visible business improvements by achieving program management and policy excellence.
